Toronto Maple Leafs

The national league of the hockey was formed in Montreal in 1917, and consisted of initially five equipment that belonged before to the national association of the hockey. Its formation was a reaction against Eddie Livingstone, owner of the blue shirts of Toronto of the NHA, by its owners of companion NHA. The the other four owners of clubs of NHA--Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, senators of Ottawa and Bulldogs de Quebec--it had forced the blue shirts already to suspend operations to half of the distance with the station of 1916-17 NHA, and had enough votes to send to Livingstone towards outside for the good one.
